just like to share the figures recently achieved by my 1.9 multijet stilo at red dot racing.
also for all you 120 sporting owners you will be pleased to know that red dot have now written a map for the 120 engine so wont take aslong as mine did :D and it is also a dramatic difference inproving performance and fuel economy greatly :D

this is a completly standard car except the remap now.

Standard:

i was shocked at how much more it achieved than what it is supposed to :D

after remap:

Whats that dip around 1,800 RPM haven't seen that before...

dont know Ffoxy. maybe its something to do with where the turbo kicks in or something but not a clue tbh lol

Does it show up as a hesitation if you drive on a light throttle around those revs? I've seen loads of print-outs but never seen that sharp dip before.

no not a thing feels like normal but the power comes in much sooner and alot harder

how come your rpm is lower then 4000 ? The engine take way more then 4500rpm.

because being a diesel thats where the power starts to drop off
Peak power looks to be at 4000rpm as standard (same as JTD)

I'd agree it's a little odd to see peak power reduced to just 3300rpm

I'm not certain I'd be all that happy to have the usable rev range reduced like that :chin:

i find it perfectly acceptable, as i dont like to take cars in to the high rev ranges very often and with the map there is also no need to go that high as there is more than enough power lower down to satisfy the needs of the car.

Not question that you've got a lot more power than standard but personally I love a motor driven by the tacho.

To me, when all out power is needed, knowing the change points exactly is crucial as is the importance of knowing how much more the engine can give.

Changing earlier somehow seems to go against the grain

(maybe I'd changed my mind if I drove it :chin:)

i dont change earlier as a result of the map (thats more a result of my wallett) having said that though i have found that fuel consumption benefits from being held in a lower gear more say between 2300 rpm - 2500rpm before i g=change gear, however at those revs i still know i have a lot of power left to use, and can easilt take it to 3500rpm before changing and not have effects of power dropping away, and still knowing its will destroy this so called high powered exec cars (BMW's for example)

Hi B3NNETT
Thinking of a remap soon..
What was it on the "back pocket" if you dont mind?
I have Stilo 1.9 JTD 115 probably the same price maybe
Nice results mate
Cheers

How come you didnt change map sensor to be able to get more boost?

i like my turbo in one piece

that and the fact i cant be bothered to change for no performance difference at all, i dont have the money,
and beinf fiat and especially stilo electrics will have a hissey fit

No the stilo electronic won't have a hissey fit, just have your remapper make a change in your ecu when he remap it.

how much boost do use?
