I've got the sat nav+in my Stilo but it really bothers me having to take my cd's out and having to put the nav cd in and then taking it out again to put the cd in again and so on... so i was hoping to put the cd changer in. The problem is that i really enjoy using mp3 cd's and as the standrs fiat changer doesn't play mp3's i was wondering if there are any cd changers that i can fit into my Stilo that'll play mp3 and that i can control from my sat nav screen??
I'd be thankful for any opinions or advice.

Get the CD changer - after a while you'll get so p***** off with the unit starting at track 1 everytime you turn the ignition on you'll give up with the MP3s! It wouldn't be so bad if there was a decent method of navigating the discs other than +10 tracks at a time. Magneti Marelli could have made this so slick - instead they spent all there time farting about with complicated playlist features.

The Alpine one supposedly can be connected to any car and can be controlled from the head unti, but I think it is very difficult to connect and I've heard it's not very good. There are a few hard drive based mp3 jukebox type things, but I don't think you can navigate them from the head unit, so you would have to mount it somewhere handy. A couple of the jukeboxes have remotes that you could keep in a handy place for navigating.

Hi all,

I have been waiting on this one for a while, but it looks like both the return to track one problem can be solved as well as being able to leave the NAV CD in and have all your mp3's playing. Take a look at this ....

These have just been released, and they mention connections for the Blaupunkt ADC CD Changer. I'm off to NYC in Feb to get my iPOD, then I'll get this ordered along with it. Since the iPOD fires back up where it left off then it should never roll back to track one, it'll charge the iPOD in your car, and you can use the steering wheel controls, or maybe if the Stilo understands you, you can get it to work through voice commands!!!

Cheers,
Chris

Maybe they've fixed this it last - the problem we are all complaining about is that any CD (Audio or MP3) always starts playing at track 1 on the SatNav+ after you turn the ignition off and back on again.

If you have a SatNav+ and the problem is fixed, can you check what software you are running? It is displayed on the bottom right hand corner at startup when the fiat logo is on screen. My reads v9.8, heres hoping you've got a later version.

Does Matt have the MP3 option in his JTD? This is different to Nav+, which is still on version 9.8! I presume there must be a new version imminent.
