I have just joined this Fiat forum so still getting to know the site layout etc. I posted this on teh general forum and it was suggested I posted it on the STILO one - so I have. here goes again:

Having a nightmare of a problem. My 05 Stilo keeps cutting out (stalling) whilst I am driving at speed. it seems OK whilst I am driving round town. The engine warnin glight comes on and power reduces and engine stops. I have been able to pull over so far to restart the engine and continue the journey. The warnig light remains on for a few journeys then goea out until next time it does it - but the problem continues. Does anyone have any idea what may cause this?

you have to be a little bit more descriptive.. engine size? symptoms? does the engine shake excessively? any specific message? it could be many things.. but most likely are intake manifold sensor/flap, faulty coil or injector (there are other issues that can cause this e.g. cam/crank sensor). You will have to find £35 for diagnostics (take it to a fiat independent and ask to read the codes) or buy a code reader (use search for tips.. best option is a laptop interface). When you have the codes - post back here (unless you’re a damsel and in London :ROFLMAO: in which case i might be able to help :) you can trust me.. i'm a doctor :ROFLMAO:)

----edit
as suggested by T14086 in your previous post.. call up your nearest fiat place and ask them if there are any outstanding recalls/upgrades for your stilo xbox (reg number would be enough for this)..
PS: Pls. don't double post (it is confusing!) and try to follow simple advise before you ask for further help :(
