HI looking to solve power loss probs ,car seems bit sluggish until turbo kicks in at 2000rpm then u feel the pull from turbo but if your inz high gears 4/5 and put your foot down it pulls then hits flat spot and seems to be flat no more pull any ideas????

hi guys just went out to car and disconncted maf sensor and took for a spin and car back to its nippy best so thanks guys any idea of cost of new 1?? and could i leave unplugged till i get new 1???

It shouldn't do that much harm.

You could try cleaning it with some contact cleaner spray (Halfords sell a spray can) but DON'T use anything like WD40. Biggest problem is you'll need a 5 star tool to remove it :(

I've seen them on eBay for as little as £10 (if you're very very lucky with the bidding ;))

Dripping oil is common from the vapour trap box but it's very important that everything is sealed when the job is finished (you don't want dirt/water getting sucked into the induction path)

hi stilo owners
I have the same problem with my 1.9 jtd stilo 2001
when I reach 2200-rpm the car doesn't accelerate anymore
it's quite dangerous when you are overtaking
so I changed EGR, MAF sensor and it's still the same
when the service guy in the FIAT garage pulled off the EGR's connection the car went well so they told me it was the problem and they changed it but the problem is still the same
I don't know what to do now
when I've bought it it was a real rocket then it started when the engine was cold
first I told myself it's kind a VGT protection, not to push hard as far as the engine is cold, but after a few days it was the same when the engine reached the normal temperature and now it's the same with a brand new EGR and the others
so thatS my stilo if anybody has the same problem and could fix it please write thx
ps.: sorry for my poor english :)

thx

I've tried everything tested all the stuffs but it was the same until I removed the maf sensor at home yesterday I checked the bosch codes and that was the problem
I was given a maf sensor for GM cars or what but is was not produced for my stilo so I changed it to a proper one and my car is a rocket again :))
