General Fiat part prices

I have been VERY nice to those who deserve respect and thanks, but the Puntoprick is no help at all. Facietious, arrogant and stupid.

Your the only one being a prick here. All i am doing is giving Fiats perspective on it so stop being such a bellend. There is nothing stupid or arrogant about what i have said so stop throwing your toys out the pram because you dont want to pay the price you have to to fix your car.

At the end of the day Fiat arent creating the monopoly market, if no one chooses to make pattern parts for everything on the car its not their fault.

How is it? If your running a business and you can sell your product for £10 or £50 and the same amount of people are still going to buy it either way which one are you going to choose?

98% of seatbelts ARE pattern parts! Fiat have deliberately made theirs incompatible knowing that no one is going to replicate it as it isn't economical. To say that charging what you like is good business, then you're wrong, except in the short term. OK, so they have robbed me this time, and several times before, but my next car or any car after that will not be a Fiat. So in terms of retaining customers it is VERY bad business to treat them like $hit.

As i have said its not their fault if pattern part manufacturers take the choice not to replicate them. It wont of been on of the first things that they talked about in the meeting where they decided to build the car and finalised what was going in it  Im not wrong. It only applies to certain products. If you can do it on certain products you will, if you cant then you dont its simple. I dont think Fiat will be overly bothered loosing someone like you from there customer base. Looking through your previous posts all you do is moan about the car. Im on my 2nd Fiat now and have always found them reasonable on parts and good on service and warrenty so meh.

Yes Ffoxy fiat do parts share but what and where is the question..everyone to eper quick..

Why give Fiat's perspective on it? That's no use to anyone on this so called independant forum. Anyway, as I have just explained, your defence of Fiat is irrational and moronic. People who work in the main dealership locally have told me (before today) that the part prices are an unfunny joke, that they have had plenty of customers voting with their feet and not returning when they want another car. They are EMBARRASSED to have to tell people how much their parts are. They also tell me that many people source parts second hand (as I have done sometimes) and advised me to do the same, or get pattern parts. So that isn't good business is it?

Unfortunately I NEED this done to get the MOT so they have me over the proverbial barral, but please don't insult my intelligence with claims that Fiat are 'cheap', because for one thing this totally contradicts the point you make about them charging what they can get away with, which is what they do.....a short sighted stupid 'business plan'....let's **** off our customers by charging forty quid to change a bulb, or £70 for a coil, or £80 for a bit of plastic moulding, or whatever we like for anything mechanical..... £150 for a sensor that costs a fiver to make......£300 minimum for anything else.....and let's REALLY take the **** by charging £240 for a seat belt.

Why not? They arent here to defend themselfs over it and i dont care if it is of no use to you. This thread is of no use to anyone as it was solely created for you to maon and bitch about Fiat. And if thats parts guys telling you people are walking with there feet they dont do car sales so i dont know how they know this? They dont and they dont care if you dont come back. There will always be someone else for them to sell a car to. Again, they arent embarressed, if they were they would leave there job and go to work for another manufacturer. They are saying it in an attempt to make it look like they are on your side. Stop being so gullable.

See at it again, "Irrational and moronic", hardly. You really should stop trying to insult me because you cant get cheap parts. If you are unwilling to pay the price it costs to fix cars then dont have one. Catch a bus. Dealer prices vary. It is not Fiat that set labour charges so dealerships will always vary in price for work to be done.

determined not to make friends?

Well I've had a look on eper and so far nothing compatable part number wise etc ..damned if I'm gonna give up tho.. :(

Yes. I have spent two hours on the internet and phone trying to locate one, but there isn't one in the whole of the UK as far as I can tell. Those who have had them tell me they go very quickly. When I told some of the scrappers how much Fiat charge they could see why!! Plus they agreed that the Fiat price is absolutely criminal.

How? £240 dosen't sound to bad tbh. Don't forget that will include the pretentioner which is probably where the cost is. Seatbelts are also a safety feature, not some cheap crap thats over priced.

Cheap!!! That is more than a week's income for most people! It is criminal, regardless of what other manufacturers charge. To call it cheap is absolutely absurd, Unless you work for Fiat of course!

And? Its all porportionate!

Tried hainford hall (google it) in Norwich, they've loads of Stilos ;)
