quite standard (although i've only done a 5 door - it should be quite similar)
1) large bolts top and bottom (those you can see) - get em out (leave at least 2 at the top to hold it in place for 2)

2) there is 1 bolt (each side) securing the side of the bumper to body (you'll need to remove the wheel and bend out wheel arch protector/cover to get at it.. last but not least - you cannot get at the bolt without an angle driver/tool.. preferably one that works at near 90 degrees.. although it is possible to do all this with wheel in place – just a lot more difficult)

edit due to post above.. i guess it is different ignore this :)

No need to take the wheels off Jon and just remove the screws from part of the arch liner and push it back out of the way to get at the two fixings holding the bumper to rear wing shown as 2&3 in the diagram..(y)

Do you have a bump strip that runs across the bumper ? if so it could be that if you remove it there are pre - made holes from factory behind it as is the case on new panda's (y)

Thanks for the idea, but am going to the no holes option, hence why the bumper needs to come off lol.

There a good place to take wiring through body work? A Gromit for wiring to factory parking sensors

as far as i can remember it is held on by plastic pop pins (much like a lot of trim on stilo)easily removed from inside - bend and push.. should also be removable from outside.. (but you have to be careful not to snap it or fixing pins)

that insert strip comes out easy, pulled mine out on a golf buggy

Was easy once I got the one side out, then was a bit of a pig to get back on at the start.

So here is what I did and why I wanted it off. I fitted 'invisable parking sensors!'

What you think:confused:

Just want to say thanks to AndyMonty for recomending them to me as he's got the same on his GP (y)

Jon.

P.s, luckily they don't affect the CAN BUS system :)

Sorry to drag up an old thread but are those electromagnetic parking sensors any good?
