on my 1.6 the fuel cap wouldn't open when the car was locked. But on my JTD it will, and the cap inside isn't lockable.

Whats the best way to fix the fuel cap so it locks with the rest of the car as i don't want to wake up one morning and find the fuel fairy has pinches all my fuel lol

mine doesn't have a plunger, where can i get one from? is it just a dealer thing? also how hard would it be to fit, i.e. to get it to respond to the central locking?

cheers for getting back to me.

its seems a little weird that they would even fit an non locking one on a car :-S

I think the locking flap was dropped in favour of the locking cap on the later models..you should be glad you havnt got one Stu ..one thing less to go wrong innit..;)

ha ha yeah i spose, i have seen several stilo's driving around with a missing fuel flap, only seems to be the three doors tho.

I found mine to be quite stiff so i put some petroleum gelly on the hinge part, opens very easy and smoothly.

i've seen a loacking cap for the stilo on ebay, probably worth an investment, cheaper than having fuel stolen or worse, stuff added to my fuel

cheers for your help
