I hope you guys can help - I always come here first to see if you can help before I pay a fortune at the main dealer!!!

For some time, when I brake, my warning light comes on on the dashboard, and a beeping noise telling me there's a fault. Then if I brake AND indicate at the same time, the indicator goes faster!

I originally thought it was a bulb problem, but my wonderful (technical!) neighbour looked at it for me last night, and something weird is happening and we can't figure out what it is!

When I brake, the brake bulb seems to go off, yet when I indicate, all the other bulbs flicker rather than the orange one!

We've replaced the bulbs, and he's had a look at the fuses but nothing is showing up.

Do you think it's a problem that only the garage can solve, only I'm a bit strapped for cash at the mo, so would love to be able to fix it at home!!!!!

Any help, gratefully appreciated!!!

Hello Mum.. did he check all earthing on the light cluster/s..stilo's quite often have issues with earthing..nice to have a lady along for a change..

This is most likely an earth problem. Remove the light clusters from the body (from the inside) and clean them. If you have fog lights around the number plate, so remove them aswell. Sand (lightly) connections and look for corrotion. Clean up and reconnect.

It's a typical error on trailers that's been neglected in all kinds of weather for many years.
