Hi

I have been looking on the forum and have diagnosed that I have the
DROP LINKS (OR ANTI ROLL BAR LINKS) issue where I go over a bump and there is a rattling at the back.

If I don't act on this now and leave a couple of months is this going to cause any more damage or is it something which will stay like this but not worsen?

I know they aren't expensive to fix but I have been in the garage far too long recently and only use the Stilo on weekends.

Any advice greatly received!

I like this forum! :D

I'd go for front drop links... on 2 separate occasions (on my GPS and wifeys Stilo) I would have sworn the rattles we had were coming from passenger side rear...

On the GPS it was passenger side front drop link and on the Stilo it was the drivers side drop link.

Now those have been replaced there is no rattling anywhere... pesky drop-links and their referred noises! :p

stick an mp3 player (set to record) into the wheel arch and drive about - then you'll know for sure (that’s what i did and the noise definitely came from the front :ROFLMAO: )

Hi

Thanks for this, does this mean that if it doesnt get fixed then it is dangerous or is it just an annoyance I will have to deal with for the time being?

Cheers for your responses so far!

Pair of front drop links less than£30 easy job once the wheels are off, one spanner and one Allen key 30 mins the lot may as well just do them they seem to go quite often around 40-50k.

Good luck

I also have this problem, had it for ages, even went through its MOT but i suppose its not a safety concern, when i rock the car i get the exact same noise

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm 30 mins yep, not if you have to cut the bottom bolt off like i did.

But very easy job and ebay is recommended here too as thats where i got mine from.

Well cost me £22 all in and never set foot out the door to buy them and were here day after.
