hey
my xenon headlights used to work just fine and lately passenger side has been playing up. it works half the time and others it jus wont kick in, drivers side works fine at all times. i can turn them on 2 or 3 times and passenger side wont light up and then on another time it will. also for some reason when it does come on its brighter than the other???? the lamps in them are the same so i dont see why this happens?

any1 got any ideas as to why this is happening??

i think might be the HID unit but not sure

cheers

sean

check the earth point (Big black block with lots of black wires going into it) bolted on to the inner wing, near the battery. My Xenon did the same and it was that earth point being corroded.

cheers john, i have already looked over the wiring seems ok , cant test ballast or anything as i left my testing kits at work lol. could be it tho so il check it out

hey cant see a problem, wondering am i looking in the right place , are you talking about the general neutral block on the battery or another point cause i cant follow the cables back as cant get my hands in without starting to take things out. lol not a lot of space in there

Passengerside dip not working . I've changed the bulb and still not working so having checked earths it is probably the ballast. Has anyone actually found a non Fiat ballast which works without causing ECU problems?

The earth point is a black box with several black wires coming out the bottom of it. It's fixed to the left inner wing next to the battery. You need to remove the 13mm nut or bolt that holds it and clean the mounting tag and the inner wing contact area.

EDIT: Found a picture from one of Deckchair5's guides.
