Hi all hope that someone out there can help. just started on this site and have already found out why changing the shocks didnt fix the banging at the rear of my JTD Multiwaggon! if only i had looked here first. would have saved me £150.
my problem now is that i have no reverse lights and the boot release handle/switch thingy will not work. i have checked bulbs and fuses no problem but still no lights and still no boot opening.
any help would be much appreciated.
please be gentle with me as this is my first time on any Forum so if i have made a forum faux par i apologise in advance.
hope someone can help

Reverse lights will be the reverse light switch, in the side of the gearbox. Tailgate will be water in the handle/ corrosion of the switch. Take handle off and clean it out, or the microswitches in the tailgate latch itself. Does the tailgate glass open?

Hi
Had a similar thing when I first bought mine if the glass part is open you cannot operate the tailgate (it can look shut but not be completely shut} reversing lights almost certainly the switch on the gearbox just behind the nearside wheel.

well thanks for all the advice here. i did look using the search function and found that i had some how managed to switch the ind boot on the computer thing to on>>>>>Donkey. and i am sourcing a new reverse light switch as of today. this is great. i now wonder if anybody knows why when ever i try to put a new spring on the front it never sits right and i end up with a bulged spring??? i have looked and i cannot find anybody with this problem.
i am so glad i found this site it really does make those little problems that come with owning a Stilo go away!:)

Been a few stories of MW owners having issues with non oem replacements springs. If you keep to oem springs and replace as a pair then I can't see how a problem can arise :chin:
