General massive steering problem

sorry if this appears twice.
When I try to turn out of my drive, the steering locks then there is a massive bang when I try to turn further.
going along all ok???
then stop at a junction start off try to turn, bang same again???

Fairly obviously - this needs looking at fast

It might be as simple as broken spring which is twisting in it's mount but then recovering when you turn the other way (so it bangs again) :chin:.

Get it looked at before it fails completely.

A broken tooth in the rack perhaps. Extremely rare though...
