took my car in, 5 hours,, as my driver side mirror doesnt heat up!! also clutch clicks and door sqeeks,

went back at 2pm, they said they have looked and they now have to order parts, they didnt say a time or date, but will just ring me!!

thought it was crap as i not have to wait and take it in again, thats crap

Well, it does depend on the parts they have on order - it may be outside the control of the dealership, to be fair.

Any idea what they have ordered?

You think thats crap ?
My mum has been waiting since June when she bought her Fiat Idea .. the body computer (a circuit board i think) needs replacing as her Radio wont work and she has a warning light on all the time..Thats 5 months she has been waiting for a single part..
I have now officially complained to Fiat on her behalf as I think this is completely erm... "Crap" as you say ;)

I'm afraid that this is pretty much 'standard' for Fiat dealers - it is the norm to take a car in for investigation and then have to return days/weeks/months later to have the required parts fitted.

Coming from a background of owning Ford, Vauxhalls and Peugeots, I find this to be extremely poor - when they can generally do same-day turnaround, so could Fiat if they actually wanted to.

Paying less for something is no excuse for poor service, just like it is no excuse for poor build quality.

There are minimum acceptable standards with everything that all companies and individuals should conform to and should strive to be better than. Some Fiat dealers are good others are crap, there is no reason to accept crap from anyone be it individual or institution.

they have the parts already, and booked me in for saturday at 9 o clock. and they said they will even look at a diesel smell i have in my car, when it is stationary.

i think they are on the ball if you ask me!!

What I don't understand about fiat dealers is that if you take your car to an independant Italian car specialist they can get OE parts same day and complete the job. Why the fck are fiat unable to do this?? :bang: sorry but theres no excuse for this!

Did you hear anything more about the Diesel smell? My Girlfriend bought a Stilo JTD a couple of months ago and we have noticed a fresh Diesel smell, usually when stationary, after having driven a fair distance at speed. We haven't had a chance to take it to the dealer yet though.
