General JTD Remap

i dont think anyone has had a stilo JTD remapped on here, although ive thought long and hard about it! i think a few ulysse's and punto's in the other forums have been done though!

Yes i have. def worth it if done properly and you get a decent map done. as stiloboy said about mpg, but hey who cares when you want a bit of fun and power, i aint really lost that much mpg. nothing major.

But worth it for the fun factor and the nise of the turbo

@johnpaul what you have ur stilo remapped to mate? how much quicker is your 0-60 and top speed now? thanks (y)

Don´t know about its release, but I´m dying to see how tunable it is. I just received the MJ yesterday and it´s fabulous. Goes like a maxican hooker on dugs :D

Grrr it's a pity ive heard about this new multijet as my new JTD is on order now..... thats nine weeks counting (n)

Stan...

Wouldn't worry Stan...

FIAT seem to have forgotton about us, the MJTD was supposed to be here in January, then it was gonna be summer, now? who knows?

To tell you the truth I had never heard about it either.. Is it a better motor ?

YES! As well as more power, it is also much smoother. I have tried it in the AR147, very impressive :)

john!! what is your top speed and 0-60 results mate?? i maybe getting mine done by angel tuning b4 crimbo!!! also does it make the engine a better sound and the turbo change???

We will do some testing with you tomorrow Leon, just give us a bit of leeway time wise as we have four in for various things inc. three remaps.

We start doing 16v & 20v M-Jet from Nov 8th :)

@anyone who can be bothered... does wear and tear increase after a remap, does the car tick over higher or anything? basically, what is different to the standard map apart from the obvious?! thanks

If you look on the Angel Tuning FAQs, it does state that the engine life may be reduced - but this is at serious mileage levels, so shouldn't affect the likes of you and I.

The car behaves exactly at normal at idle. It is only when you start using the car that you can feel the difference across the whole rev range. It totally unleashed the potential of the Ulysse 2.2JTD and 2.0JTD - one of the guys who had it done is not a typical 'boy racer', but now gets lot better economy PLUS power on tap when needed i.e. at junctions and for over-taking.

ive had it done the best 500 ive spent in tuning motors since i started out and basically what stu said above.
also talking of power on tap wizards of nos to a diesel kit at 600 quid which is 50 bhp jets thats also money well spent. suprices some fast cars when the turbo spools up with the nos gong in at 2600.
im after a boost controler next for even more power and at least 45mpg.....winner.

re-performance did my re-map +22 bhp
and have a look at potn.com at the wizards of nos diesel kit thats what ive got!!
getting a koni damper/spring kit next :)

heheheh wonder what NOS on top of a 45bhp remap would go like :) We can do NOS via the guys at Thor Racing, although they usually do mega skylines and supra's. NOS on a Diesel is excellent although I wouldn't be quick to do it on anything but a JTD or VW TDi as I don't think many others will handle it to well.

As long as you have a pyrometer fitted to keep check on the EGT you will not have to many problems :)
