I've had the dreaded airbag warning light on in my car (52 reg 5 door stilo)for a few years now and came accross Deckchair's excellent guide on how to fix it.

I'm falling at the first hurdle though! I have no idea how to disconnect the battery  I took the cover off by removing the screws and removed the clip off smaller cover inside and was faced with this... (click to enlarge pic)

I have no idea what to disconnect  I'm fairly clear on the rest of the guide but if anyone could tell me how to disconnect it I'd be really grateful!

Thanks :)

Loosen this nut (10mm spanner) and lift the terminal (complete with the 3 black wires) off the battery post. Tie it out of the way so it can't accidentaly fall back and touch the battery post.

Simples..[squeak]..:p

Guys, I have one silly question.
Is that true that if you disconnect the battery you need to use the master code again? I want to buy a second hand interior for my Stilo and in order to disconnect the airbag sensor, I need to disconnect the battery for a half hour at least. I don't have the master code anymore but I really want to buy that brown leather interior for my car.

This way I feel more confident of trying to clean the airbag sensor connectors
