Tuning Fitting JTD GSR induction

Tuning Fitting JTD GSR induction

it literally is a 30cm straight pipe with 2 holes on it.

just looks rather unimpressive. i didnt get a filter either or clips/brackets, just the silicone pipe ???

Mark, PM me with the politics please, and tell me if the gang will be on here of FS-OC in the future :shakehead:

The holes should be small pipes i think for the maf sensor to plug into. PM frank and ask for the mounting brackets etc. If he sold a GSR induction kit then it should be a kit not a butchered pipe.
We take this kind of thing very seriously here so if you have a problem that is not resolved between you two then we will do our best to help both parties. (y)

well its going in at my local Longlife exhausts in the morning, and hopefully they'll be able to deal with it. if not then its sadly back of to Frank, for which i'd be gutted as i've been looking forward to this for sooo long.

Even though i've developed a spinal infection and im in constant pain and pretty much immobile at the moment :(

Thank you Greg (y), im in sooo much pain its aweful. i cant sit, sleep, lie down, drive, and i get nausious too if i stand for a long period.

looks like they may have to operate soon.

im amazed how quick this has happened. i only started feeling it on the weekend

maybe getting Estella to ROAR will make me feel a bit better. im taking out the centre box out of the stainless exhaust too at the same time to enhance that

well its on (y)

sounds really good, but the car is really sluggish now even though it revs freely. its like the turbo isnt kicking in and I've got engine failure coming up :shakehead:

Red!, where are your magic solutions

Try rotating the maf sensor in the tube..told you it would be naff and cause you agro didnt I..:p

hey guys, just realised this thread existed.

sorry Oz but i didnt send the jubilee clips (thats all they are) as i needed to bodge something to keep the car mobile while until i got the standard box.

i didnt send the air filter as again i still needed one. (it is also due a replacement so you wouldnt have seen any benefit)

i didnt send the mounting bracket as there isnt one??! one was never made for it. it actually holds itself in place when fitted but for piece of mind you could get one fitted.

the gsr itself is only that small because the turbo is already low down and there is no need to locate the filter anywhere else.

what you have in front of you is pretty much what i was given. if you had any questions though you could have just pm'd me?

by all means if you want to send it back you can.

@phil - i think i was lowering the bumper to find the split in the intercooler pipe or something. it wasnt to fit the filter.

from memory it was fitted from underneath. disconnect from above remove from below. then the same in reverse to refit.

It was at Red dot when I brought you up a new filter ;)..didnt you drop the one side of the bumper then ..or was that at Chipped when your intercooler pipe split..my memory is getting shocking..:( give Kirst a hug from me..

yeah it was at chipped when the pipe split. have given her an bump a cuddle for you.

@volxstu - i never 'sold' the induction as such. oz sent me a pm asking what i was doing with it. i explained the issues and offered an exchange.

This induction was only ever a prototype which explains the lack of bracket to fix it in place.

I was gonna get mine remapped at chipped uk end of the month, is it reccomended? I dont want any unwelcome engine faults.

been there today to have my map taken off as im selling it. excellent customer service. map removed and gremlins still there so i can say their map wasnt causing my problems. you also have your money back guarantee (y)

not trying to promote them for any particular reason. just think they are a great bunch of guys. :)

i was only moaning as we didnt know what the heck to do with it :p and there is very little info on it.

i'll send you the stuff as soon as i can.

got a wolf(fart)race filter on it now. sounds great, will hepfully be sorted with Reds mods and after the ECU has learnt about it a bit

no worries mate. like i say i only sent what would be of use that i had. you should try what pnl said an make sure the maf is the right way round. if it isnt in exactly the right place it feels restricted. try disconnecting it and that should tell you if its the maf readings causing the hesitation. :)
