every year when i come to renew my car insurance i spend prob bout an hour searching about for phone numbers to get some quotes, but ive written um all down this year, so if anyone wants a few decent insurers, here they are!

I always do all my quotes online, although not sure if they prefer over-the-phone if you have mods, etc.

I tried to use confused.com this year, but I got some strange results - the lowest quote they gave me on the Abarth was £860.....and a lot of companies on there refused to quote! But when I went to inidividual sites and put same info in, I got it down to £450

i normally do a few online quotes to get an idea but always finalise it over the phone

I just let RAC work out my policy each year, and it just keeps getting cheaper and cheaper, thats the benefit with being an old c**t!

There again i always need to phone with the Mini insurance, 'cos its modded.

I had some knightmares. worst quote was from norwich union direct (quote me happy my arse!) when it came back as £770 for the brava. CIS wanted £600. Directline and tesco where £390 while morethen done the nice price of £351. Prices being that high as I was only 23 at the time im up for renewal, by a matter of 3 weeks
