I've just got an 02 1.6 Stilo, mainly for my son's use. First time Fiat owner, although way back I almost got a Mirafiori 131 (which gives away my age!!). I ended up with an Alfa Sud which rusted almost as quickly.

I have just throughly enjoyed changing the pollen filter (thanks to guide here).

I've sorted out most of my queries by trial & error as we don't have an owners handbook, if anyone has a surplus one I'm happy to buy, there is one on ebay but it sems a bit pricey.

Can someone let me know what the tyre pressures are please? its a 5 door 1.6. Not sure how many tyre size combinations there were, this has 5 spoke alloys that I haven't seem anywhere else, of course it's now dark & I don't know the sizes!!

I have been pleasantly suprised by the drive of the car and the build quality. I have a full service history with invoices and the only fault it has had fixed is ther air bag warning light. One old invoice suggests that the drop links need doing but then it has passed two mots.

Welcome! Set your pressures to 30 psi front and rear and you won't go far wrong. Don't know what mileage your car has travelled, but I changed the drop links on my 1.6 at about 36K and it made a real difference to the feel of the car.

It has 46k on it, I insisted on a new MOT & it ended up having new struts & springs as both springs were cracked.

Broken springs are a well known problem (though not unique to FIAT) and by 46K dampers are approaching the time for replacement. So no great surprise in other words...

If you're running the 5 spoke 17" alloys, then you should set them to 34psi all round

hey as we are on the topic of tyre pressures, ive got crapy 15inch steel wheels, 1.6 too, when it came back from a service it 35psi in them, is this too high?
