Pulling my Hair out Part 2

Hi All

Its been a while but thanks to all that replied to my previous thread re the ongoing visits to my dealership....
Still got the air bag warning flashing on and off, now approaching my 15th return visit in 4-ish months...Dealer says theyve changed everything but the wiring loom ?? sound like complete Bo**ox to me (sorry ladies) but their attempting to get hold of a loom, trouble is "so they say" cos my little baby's got curtain airbags sky roof and loads of other sh*te (sorry again) their having problems locating the correct loom.......Yeah right.. Sorry but i dont believe a word they tell me these days..
Anyway if and when they do locate a loom and eventually fit it i'll let you all know if it sorts out the problem..

Jo

Re: Pulling my Hair out Part 2

One thing to say to you "Trading stands" and selling a product thats not "fit for Purpose" To put it bluntly if it is a more major problem than just a system error and the air bag is activated when it shouldn't... it could kill you.

Thumbs up Re: Pulling my Hair out Part 2

If you spoke to your insurance company and said that the air bag light is on then they will tell you that you are not insured, so then this would mean that your car is technically unusable as a car, so a word withtrading standards as previusly recommended would be the next move then back to Fiat dealer and ask your dealer for a copy of every job card on your car if they did not give you one at each visit ( because they are meant to supply a invoice to you listing all work done) then on to Fiat customer care and be calm but firm, if you kick off they will shut all doors for you, you have to be nice but not dim!!

JUst had a thought! Ask your dealer to get the DET (dealer expert technician)to organise a visit from Fiats travelling Technician,if you live around the south the guys name is Dave and he is the Biz there is nobody in the country like him or as knowledgeable as him, Fiat pay homidge to him. If he cant fix it then you`ve got Fiat against the rails.
