Ive had many problems with my 52 plate 1.6 Stilo each one costing me loads, please give me some good news.Lately ive noticed my car burning water i checked the oil no mayo in the oil so i put radweld in problem seemed to stop, then yesterday when stationary the car judders(had this before coils replaced everything ok) and today all the water has gone and it started to over heat please tell me i can get it fixed for £200 its booked in for next monday please let Santa give me a xmas pressie

If you're losing water then the first thing to do is make sure it's not simply leaking from the cooling system.

If it's not then it must be leaking into one or more cylinders and going out the exhaust (can also be forced out of the pressure cap due to compression from engine). Unfortunately replacing the head gasket, and a skim, is very likely to cost more than £200

thank you.If i continue to use my Stilo topping the water up as i go am i going to make any damage even worse?

You must always top up with the correct mix of coolant not just plain water. There is a danger of freezing it up and allowing the engines internal alloy / iron parts to rust. Coolant is more than just water these days. Best to fix it rather than risk it (y)

Hope to get it fixed monday, just need it to run round for 2 more days to make sure Santa visits my kids on thursday!

You where right the head Gasket has gone im looking at £600 to put right, not happy as you can imagine not sure its worth the bother
