Last Tuesday, the o/s headlight went, This pissed me off, seeing as I had to go the rest of the week using fogs, which is a huge bugbear of mine. Damn these dark evenings!
I took the opportunity to upgrade the bulbs and, with the help of several posts here, I managed to get the n/s changed without too much fuss. (Just for the record, I went in through the top, although I did remeove the battery box for ease)
Now the question. Before changing the bulb, I switched on the headlights to see which bulb it was that needed changing. From the o/s light cluster was the sound of a relay rapidly ticking. This happens even after changing the bulb. It usually goes for around 20-30 seconds, sometimes longer than I'm prepared to stand around in the cold! It only happens when the headlights are switched on (not just sidelights) and stops if the engine is started or the round power connector is disconnected. The lights all work ok, so should I be concerned or just try to forget about it?
