my abarth, thats just done over 100k has just passed its mot, with only one advisory on a tyre (which dont really count in my books, as thats just lazyness me not changing the tyre yet)

however it has started stralling on me again last night, got really bad at one point running terrible. cleaned the inlet at side of the road and seemed a bit better but got worse again, and stalled again today.

idle is sitting around 500 rpm (should be steady 750?)

any ideas?

im going to change the air filter later, as it must be some form of air issue,

any other tips other than those covered a zillion times lol

100K bugger me how did that one slip through the net..

tell me bout it ;)

CURRENTLY only 2 faults, the stalling, and outside temp reading too low (which really bugs me)

everything is looking good, hardly any wear inside or out,

this car is making me think fiats are ok.

Well I see you checking threads..so I not gonna help you now and leave you to get on with it..;)

Time for my physio..by by..:D

OK I'm back..(y) her hands were lovely and warm..:D

First off check the throttle body and give it a good clean as you did it at the side of the road andthen disconnect the battery for it to reset..if that one fails then have a look at the map sensor cos map sensors monitor the absolute pressure in the inlet manifold and its read by the ecu ..this tells the injectors how much and how often to inject fuel so if the sensor is duff the ecu would not know how often and how much to squirt in there thus giving you bad Idle..you might be able to do the same as Decks has posted in the guides section the 1.6 on the 2.4 ..a map sensor is a map sensor after all..nothing ventured nothing gained as they say ..(y)
