Yup - but not by me  I went for remap instead

Depends what you want, a lot of hybrid turbos are bespoke. You might try these guys http://www.turbotechnics.com/docs/index.htm or perhaps www.google.co.uk might prove useful ;) A search of this forum will also probably help :D

Not off the shelf, but somehting should be possible. The question is where to fit it, standard install location is a bit limited (n) Have a look at this http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/produ...cooler&classCode=MSPORT&brandCode=all&x=0&y=0

Has been done, not so much by UK folk though, there is a site for performance stilos which has a member who has walked down some of this route.

cheers mate!

yeah i got her mapped, blows off 150bhp standard golfs but its not quick enough! want a bit more poke yet! haha

must join this performance site

i think a bigger intercooler would give more turbo lag anyway so maybe not the best idea.

does anyone know anything about getting a straight through on it?
ive heard it can bugger the turbo? but does free up torque?

and see your induction kit? do you think it makes much difference?

cheers

Don't know about the exhaust, no reason why a CAT back system wouldn't help the engine breathe a bit better, possibly match that to a 'race type' CAT and I'm sure there'd be an appreciable difference without killing the turbo.

I wouldn't have thought a bigger intercooler would cause too many turbo-lag problems (especially with a hybrid) but that's speculation on my part as it's not something I've reserached.

Induction kit. Hmmmm. Makes a very nice noise, I did start a thread about some issues I've had which you might like to read https://www.fiatforum.com/stilo/151026-jtd-mjet-induction-remaps-please-read.html but on the whole I'd say that improving the induction on a modified engine is very worthwhile. As to which kit then ceratinly the GSR sets the benchmark, but with possible complications on the Stilo.

Where'd you get your remap done

cheers mate!

awk well my mate does remapping, NWT, so he done my motor.

I know what your saying about the cat and about the intercooler!

i doubt id need a bigger intercooler! would be more hassle than its worth i think.

ill have a wee read through that thread and see what i think! i dont like too much noise off a diesel exhaust so im not too sure on taking the cat out. Does the stilo come with a middle box? have never looked! if it does i could always just leave that in and decat it.

hmmm decisions decisions :p

Why not just buy yourself a 2.4 MJET lump from a scrap yard and fit that. Has to be much cheaper than messing around with changing a turbo.

Also you can try running the car with the front exhaust flex section removed. It will be loud, but you will notice a big difference in the turbo performance. It spins up much quicker and from lower revs.

A better exhaust will definitely benefit the JTD.

Try again   ;)

A phone call is usually best

Yes call is best but my englis is not so good for convesating through phone :D

I think this is hard to do, because then I must find car with 2.4 engine on which I can put automatic climate control and other stuff... How bigger is 2.4JTD engine? Because on stilo is not a lot of free place to fit any big engine :D

My car have with all stock items just remaped 163HP&37,4Kgm, Now Im change standard exhaust for Ragazzon(I must go to dyno again) and now I must look for future modification :D

Im change just back box. In future I will buy this centre pipe from ragazzon:

I think For JTD we can't buy whole system(With collectors)

I'm sure it's possible if you've enough money/skill/time, but for 500 cc extra there's not enough of a power difference over the 4 cylinder to make it worthwhile IMHO

err abz,the power diff is 85bhp difference over your stock 115;) and the extra cylinder....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:D

so you start with 200+ to begin with, re-map that.......... = lots:D

OK - so mine made 120 in standard trim, remapped it's 155 with potential for more if you want - but for a spend of under £400 that's not bad.

Secondhand 2.4 multijet engine (175bhp I think?) and gearbox and ecu is going to be around a grand to buy if you're lucky. Re-engineering chassis to make it fit, sort out the electrics, new clutch, bespoke exhaust system, fuel pump etc etc done professionally is going to be an absolute minumum of another grand - highly unlikely the subframe from a 156 would bolt on, so it's a major job. Probably closer to 3 grand to do, and that's doing some of it yourself. Then there's the brakes.....

So I say again.... there's simply not enough extra power from those 500 cc to make it worthwhile :D

Now a 150 multijet engine with tweaks is another matter entirely ;)

old ones were 175, new ones are 210 so even more, and bags of extra torque but agree, lots of dosh, but if you got the money...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm(y)

sure a turbo change can be aranged, but it wont be at its full potential without a new bigger intercooler(y)

exhaust, bigger the better (sensibly) same benefits as turbo petrols(y)

Tell me exactly what you want and I'll call them for you (y)

If they have prepared any hybrid turbo for Fiat Stilo 1.9JTD 8V 115 (Origanal turbo: Garrett GT17).
Then if they have it how cost, what increase can we expect if with stock turbo have 160HP(Remapped car). How hard is change it? Must we change any other things?

I made the call and am still waiting for the 'technical expert' to email some suggestions :( If I've not heard by Thursday will call them again (y)
