Hey

Got a 52 plate 1.2 stilo.

Started witht the rev counter waving and then dropping and the car shakes and then dies. has been plugged into a computer and shown up 8 faults! Now the car starts and drives fine but still shows engine fault.

The computer has been cleared and then plugged in showing up a few differnt ones.

Last chance to find out whats wrong is to take it to fiat which is costing me £70. it has a brand new battery.

Anyone got any ideas?

not sure. he didnt say.

he said its coming up with faults all over the car though. and when it starts up it say asr, abs, airbag faliure, low oil pressure.

He thinks probably a new ECU, but wont tell me how much as its expensive and he wont do it as its not worth it, i paid just over 2k for it 6 weeks ago with 64k on clock.

if you paid for the Diagnostic i belive he should have given you a report of the fault codes,if not go back and ask him for them, then put them on here and people will tell you what they mean

Could be the ignition coil's, on a couple of occasions last week whilst waiting in a que at a junction...after pulling forward the rev's would drop and the engine would conk out. Then last weekend driving over a small bridge I got the engine fault light and the engine was very juddery!


New ignition coil - job done!
