Hi to all, yesterday morning i was taking out my Stilo from the garage, when i went out of the car i saw small puddles of water coming out of my garage and ending up under the rear side of the car. I then checked under it to see drops of water, dripping from the side of what seemed to be the catalytic converter, could it have a leakage? Thanks for any help !

It's probably just condensation from your air conditioning unit. From what I understand the condensation outlet hose is right above the exhaust pipe. A/C units dripping condensation is perfectly normal and tend to do it more in humid weather.

Thanks for your reply, is it normal even when the a/c is off ? the water was coming out from the very rear end of what i presume is the catlytic converter.
Thanks.

There's always going to be a small amount of water produced when you fire up the car. I believe there is a small drainage hole in the exhaust after the CAT (I think there's a similar post on here somewhere, with a picture too)

Ok thanks for your replies, i will check in the previouse threads ,i might find something similar

Hi
All catalysed cars produce water as a product of combustion, most cars throw it out of the exhaust pipe (watch it drip next time you are behind someone) The Stilo has a drain hole about 2/3 along the exhaust instead. There was a picture on a previous thread I think.
So thats probably where your water is coming from.

my Stilo is Type 0 so i suppose its under the bonnet, i guess it must be condensation of some sort , thanks for your replies, very helpful indeed guys :)
