While im on here this morning ranting on about my Abarth, here's another tech question.

Seem to have a fault with ABS and auto drive, i get ABS TCR back to dealer fault coming up on the dash but only between 1 and 5 miles after i set off ( is this normal)
So then there is no auto shift up box i have to drive with the paddles.
Now the only thing i have done before this problem came up was change the steering rack and repositioned the abs sensor wires in there grommets as they looked a little strained, could moving them have cracked a wire ?. If i switch off and re-start its the same sometimes auto works sometimes not but no dash fault till after 1 to 5 miles.
Would a ECU fault check tell me which sensor has gone down.

Cheers again

Are you sure it's not the famous brake light switch problem? An ABS fault should show up immediately so the fact it happens from one to 5 miles in the drive seems to be a clue. It gets confused if it thinks brakes and gas are on at the same time

Cheers for that (y)

It was the infamous brake light switch that had come out of adjustment. I had changed the steering rack myself a week earlier and messing down in the drivers well i must have pulled the brake pedal up and bingo switch out of flunter.

Followed the guides and alls well :)
Back in love with the gas guzzling girl :p
Stuff the government :slayer:
