I've just spent three weeks on business in sunny Scotland and noticed a distinct lack of Stilos knocking about (I think I saw 5 the whole time I was there). Does anyone know just how many have been sold in the UK?

Another observation (in Grangemouth at least) is that if you want to buy any brand of car you can either go to "Arnold Clark" or "Arnold Clark". Talk about cornering the market!

Oh, and hello to the person in the Yellow Seicento who honked and flashed me the other day. I assume you weren't being rude, just friendly (as those nice folk in Scotland tend to be)!!

There aren't a lot of Stilos in Scotland (that I've seen anyway). And you're right if you want a volume car you more or less need to Arnold Clark (except Ford where strangely they don't seem to have a foothold) and look forward to the quality workmanship ship and top end customer service which is synonymous with the AC brand!

To be fair there is a reg vardy dealer relatively close to me.

As for car sales the society of motor manufacturers should have some data http://www.smmt.co.uk - I've not got the time to have a fish just now though.

I see alot of them every day in fife, not including my own that is :)
Stiloboy just lives down the road from me too, so not including that one either ;)
but ive seen an identical 5 door sky blue when I was at the petrol station once, some nasty dark solid blue ones and alot of silver ones. Maybe fife is the stilo hotbed? :)

As for dealers, 2 dealers in fife for fiat, both arnold clark, there is one indipendent in lothian but they are extremly small and expencive, and cash only
there is the odd reg vardy or parks that do fiat somewhere in scotland though.

Have had mine for just over a year (15 months). (3dr 1.6 Dynamic - Reg doc says black but it's really very dark blue - suits me fine :) ). Initially there were very few in Dundee area. There's more now, pass at least 4 regularly every day on way to work in Arbroath area (3 x 5 door, 1 x 3 door). Have seen more in Dundee over last 3 months than in previous 12 months. Mostly 5 door. I like my Stilo but I wish it had a bit more ooommmph.

:woot: another 5dr :slayer:

Appears to be way more stilos (and Fiats in general) in Scotland than whenever I venture down south.

CMC...large dealerships are given 'areas' to work in/franchises & not allowed to dominate whole areas...in theory;) Arnie has loads of Ford dealers in Scotland...10 infact(compared to Reg Vardy who has 6 & Parks who have 0 Ford dealers),compared to 13 Fiat dealerships (Vardies have 3 & Parks have 2) therefore as far as Ford & Fiat are concerned yes the majority are owned by Arnold Clark...which might explain why there are more (or appear to be) Fiats than down south.

i have not seen many stilos where i live near edinburgh, only one or two and no modded ones. i had to go all the way to arnold clark elgin to get my 1.8 stilo as they didnt have any others at any other branches.

I think it depends if you are looking, I'd never noticed any until I go tmine, now I've realised there are 3 within 1/2 mile of me, and one in my street with lovely claw alloys thatI'd never noticed! I live near the 2 Park's fiat dealers, though one has only just become fiat, previously being bentley & now being shared with Skoda. Not seen any modded Stilos in Scotland though (except mine!), West or East sides of the country!

Got my abarth from parks honda in hamilton, was up in bellshill seeing family and out for a drive one day and there it was up on ramps at the front of the showroom, love at first sight :D only prob was i was up there in the wifes mg,but it gave me a good excuse to pop back up to hamilton the following weekend in my punto to part exchange,The drive home was fun, getting used to the sillyspeed gearbox and going from a 1.2 8v to a 2.4 20v,o what memories :D

I've had my Stilo (1.9jtd MW) for about 3 weeks now and I've still not seen many Stilos in general.

I did notice that the MWs that I've seen are all 04 plates.

I also saw one the same colour as mine in sainsburys the other day but there was no space next to it to confuse them when they came out of the shop :p

I find they are very rare (3 door especially) and I live in fairly central edinburgh......but I like it that way:)

Had mine for three years now and by God is the customer service crap at Arnold Clark.

I have started taking mine to Harrison Motors in Edinburgh and they are a fantastic FIAT specialist. Far better that AC and I suggest you give them a try when the ol' manufaturer warranty runs out.

My friends Dad is part of the FIAT dealearship in Haddington (which has won numerous awards and they aint related to AC in any way. Thankfully). They will charge you FIAT prices though but the service is excellent.

Loving the Stilo....but pretty damned happy with the Barchetta as well:D

since we saw our stilo for sale 3 weeks ago, we've saw tons!! Only saw 2 other abarths though, and one of them was on a forecourt that we went to see!! In ayrshire there are hundreds of stilos, about 70% - 80% of them are 5 doors though. Fiats in general are popular down this way due to a great former dealer who's regained the dealership a few years ago.
