Hi,

I have a 1.6 Dynamic, 2002 vintage. I've recently bought an OBD reader, and I can't locate where to plug it into the car !

Its the usual D type, 8x8 pins. I've looked around inside the fuse box cupboard, but I can't find a loose cable or connector on a circuit board to plug it into. On the right side of the fuses, there is a large black plastic connection, with wires coming out of the top - this looks like it should be unplugged, to plug the connector in. But ... something tells me I'm doing something wrong. It must be a stand alone connection point, I can plug into.

Where can I find it ?

On a different note, I have an OBD-DIAG diagnostic reader, which handles both the ISO and KWP 2000 protocol. I'm sure the Stilo uses ISO (I hope so !).

Regards.

it is under the fuses behind the panel on the right side of your steering wheel (in UK, mine is left in the Netherlands...)
it is a black, fixed 16 pins female connector on the grey body-computer which is connected to the back of the fuse box ....

Look towards the top (above all the fuses) and towards the rear.

A torch makes it a lot easier to find and make sure you plug it in the correct way up (can be quite a push the first time - a slight smear of WD40 helps a lot)

Thanks for all the help. I'll take another look tomorrow. It sounds like its fixed into the plastic housing, and not hanging around on the end of a cable. Which probably explains why I didn't find it - I was looking for the wrong thing.

Obd port?

Is there an OBD port on the stilo abarth? is so does anybody know where,i have checked around the fuse box under steering wheel etc...
cheers

Hi, I saw this site and read a few tips on here, it seems you have great knowledge about cars.
I wonder if you could help me, I have a fiat still 1.9 JTD. The car starts, but no power to the gas pedal, the following codes ere diagnose from a friend's fault code reader:
P0608- control module vss
P0120- pedal sensor
P0101- Mass air flow sensor, I had this changed but no joy at the moment as the problem is still not fixed.
Any advice? Much appreciated.

The first place I would start is with the earth connections check out the guide in the guides section.

Robbconn recently had this exact problem it turned out to be a faulty linear pressure switch on the aircon as there on the same circuit. Your problem could be anywhere on the circuit but as that's happened b4 good place to check. Search for p0608 you will find his topic all info in there.

Hey peps, thanks for the advice, have not get a chance to look at the A/c pressure switch which one of you recommended.
I will try and see if that does the trick!
This is a nightmare...at the Mo. I bought a new Air mass sensor, got the Maf sensor cleaned, moved the over boost valve under the battery tray.
The engine light is still on and no power to the gas pedal, Revs stuck on 10 RMP and if i engage the gear and release the clutch, it moves and on the 5th gear it goes up to 40mph.

At that speed the revs moves p to 12- 13 RMP. Never had a car with so much trouble in my life!! Any further advice, much appreciated!
Cheers

Hi All, I just want to say a BIG Thanks to ALL of you for tips and advice, Finally, i checked the Linear pressure switch on the air con as RAMBOROBERT suggested and that was the actual problem.
You are a star!
Just a reminder, Fault code that came up was, P0608, P0120 & P0101. No power to gas pedal, revs stuck to 10 RMP.
This was caused by a Faulty Linear pressure switch from the air con. Now sorted
