Hi all. new member. You seem to be the best place to ask.

My Stilo - Jan 04 registered. multi wagon, unfortunately not JTd but 1.8 petrol.

Over last couple of days, the temp gauge has been flying back and forth from mid range back to no temp as if taken over by a poltergeist.

In addition and I think at the same time, the engine judders?? loses a bit of power if you like. Only seems ot happen at top speed (75 mph plus)

Please respect that I have no clue, I am afraid I am not practical at all, and have relied far too heavily on dealers in the past - rip off city in my view!!

Any way anyone with a clue your thoughts would be appreciated

Good chance it's a coil about to go :chin:

You buy just one and then change say #1 cylinder, leave for a few day to see if fault has gone, and then transfer the one you've taken out to #2 cylinder etc - repeat until you've changed all 4.

If not solved then just keep it as a spare (bound to need it one day) :)

Thanks for replys - have discovered it is the water coolant sensor - intermitant fault - causing fuel supply to engine to vary. being repaired 2moro.
