i asked the dealership what happens if they fit a part that isn't required, and they said that i then wouldn't have to pay for it.

Hi Deckchair - is it reasonable to expect a full refund from dealer as nothing they have done has brought me any closer to sorting out the problem?

If your dealership said "you wouldn't have to pay for it if they fit a part that isn't required" then try to hold them to it. I'm sure that in the interests of customer loyalty and long term future profits that the Fiat integrity team will look beyond their noses and bend over backwards to placate and appease an otherwise aggrieved customer- but then again- see that pig?

Weird thing was, car was driving beautifully right before the error codes! Is a brilliant car, think once this issue sorted car will settle down and be the cracking bit of kit that it is with all its gizmos. Just amazing that the dealer misses the obvious, albeit was an intermittent fault. Wish me luck for tomorrow - me v the dealership!

You replaced the acceleration throttle body and you might get your money back???
Here in Greece i paid for it, the problem didn't solve and spend a whole lot more to find that 3 out of 6 cables of the throttle body where turned black!!!
Solved it after soldering them...

Hi all - Stilo has another trip on the back of a recovery truck!! Fault code 0300 0304 which I think is misfire on cylinder 4 - bearing in mind we only got the car back on thursday having had new ecu and throttle body - could the misfire be related - thanks in advance for any comments/thoughts?

Hi all - changed one coil last night and think one more has gone - is it common for two to go together? Some white dusting around those that have gone - is that a sign? Ta

Last time i've lost 2 at the same time... The car was trebling like hell but at least i've enjoyed the Subaru WRX sound of it... For a while fo course!:D:D:D:D

A coil breaks down because it can't stand any more, it's at the end of its tether and it won't take no more. As you had fault code P0300 multilple misfire and P0304 cylinder 4 misfire then have you followed T1's advice and checked your plugs? Bad plugs or wrong gapped plugs put huge electrical loads on the coils insulation and electricity likes to take the easy way out

Have put new plugs in and 4 new coils - seems to run fine, but on idle is only about 650 and a little uneven - did a throttle relearn - no change - also when put foot on throttle pedal - it seems to increase, then step up in increments (ie can't hold it at a steady rev) - any suggestions? Ta
