I have noticed that whenever it rains i get a water sloshing sound coming from the rear passenger side - sounds like its in the bodywork somewhere. Almost like its in the hollows under the rear light clusters. Sounds like a substantial amount! Anyone else had this problem or know what it could be?

Many thanks

You've most likely got a blocked drain in one of the panels over there. Have to grub about underneath stabbing likely places with a tie wrap or cable until you get a face full of freezing water

Might be water in the boot but i'd expect you'd have noticed that by now

Thanks Deckchair....would i be wanting to prod around under the wheel arches or under the sideskirts? I really don't know where abouts to poke around!

i'm sure it only in wet weather this happens and i mworried about rust settingin or something.....

i doubt it would be the fuel one would hear sloshing around in the tank would it?

Ah! You have body kit don't you, could be anywhere in there then but i'd start with the side skirts. Some people say if they park up a steep hill they see water pouring out the back of the under door sills.

French chap here complains of it on his 5 door

If you want to check the hollow under the rear light clusters they are dead easy to take off! Maybe worth a check! (y)

Thanks for the link and info Deckchair...i will take a look over the weekend and let you know. Its the abarth side skirts...not sure if are genuine ones or not as they were already on there when i bought it.....could be worth a shot. I didnt know the skirts would be hollow!

Coyotes - thank too for the info...coincidentally i removed the rear light clusters a few weeks back to change some bulbs and noticed that pocket underneath them....i replaced everything as i have found it...although sometimes notice a bit of condensation now in the rear lights now....possibly water is leaking in here then?
