General Whats Your Mileage Abarth

I just dropped on it! my mate wanted my old car off me so I stumbled across it at a garage! Some guy had bought it for his wife and she couldnt get to grips wi paddles! she'd never even took it on motorway! A couple of sensors had blips but had that done under warranty they gave me! see how its goes had it 6 months and still love it, just want to get some mods on like an exhaust and induction kit but budget for this month went on service!

02 plate, odometer reads 60k, but only actually done about 57k - this is due to current weird electrical gremlin (see my thread in tech section re earth lead).

Love the car to bits when its running okay, but have hated it the last month - front spring, coil pack, plugs, fuel filler cap and this electrical gremlin all one after the other. Coupled with the Chancellor's budget whammy it may mean a parting of ways quite soon.

18454 miles on my 02' abarth! jus spent £600 after a "routine service" but to be fair it was all wear and tear things that had never been replaced due to it having no miles on clock.
Blimey! And i thought i did well getting an '02 with only 35k on it.
Just slightly off topic... has anyone renewed their abarth insurance recently and got any reccomendations?
I know prices have gone up across the board but i only paid £330 12 months ago, cant get anything much below £400 now.

My 05 has about 160000 miles on the clock now. Engine was replaced about 10000 miles ago as it was smoking and completely knackered.

The car had been driven by a rep so it was pure motor way miles. The rest of the car is pretty much immaculate.

I get ASR warnings and my Air Con is dead. There is a problem with my boot lock as well, so I turned the Boot lock on to permanent. I just have to use the fob to open to the boot.

That's it, nothing else wrong with her to be honest.

70000 on mine? only had it since last dec and only do about 4000mile a year? still sounds ok though? theres a slight tapping noise comming from the bach of the head, and my aircon also does'nt work because the pipes sheerd off going into the compressor and it looks a right ba***rd to change? ...... but on the plus side, i've changed from 10w/40 to 0w/40, replaced the cam belt, changed all the fluids - even the brake - and it runs like a dream! (y) roll on 100,000!!

55000 and awaiting a new engine lol.
As for the rice paper comment there is an element of truth. The engine is as strong as any other car but the design of a floating crank means it chews itself apart quicker than most when you have no oil pressure. Simple answer is to keep it brimmed with oil.
I could be way off the mark with this comment but surely an oil with low viscosity will be bad for the crank design?

15,000miles no probs yet, touch wood, fingers crossed, etc.

My 51 plate on 77k but engine done 68k this due to pump failure and gear selector gone so changed eng but still got other engine for plenty of spares. And still smiling everytime i put my foot down, just can't seem to keep it on the road somedays, lol

103000km but wont make it to 110000km i'm sure.

engine pulls well but it has lots of issues playing well with the selespeed gearbox..

most recent one is major juddering and kangarooing when pulling off slowly. Also when reducing from 3rd to second and 2nd to 1st with low revs. Its like the engine is loose
