when my connect+ starts the blue fiat logo appears. are there any different logos and if so how do you change it.

I dont think this logo can be changed, not without some sort off set-up cd rom A nice ABARTH logo would be nice,Hope some wiz kid out there can give you a better answer [8D]

Well, the links to the software for CN+ 9.8 is knocking around this forum somewhere. It's uses some commercial application builder thing to build it - but I didn't recognise it.

I've since written over the ISO CD image I'd burnt onto a CD-RW, but if anyone recognises the application builder (I'll burn another CD-RW later today if I get time) perhaps it maybe possible.

My day job is a software designer/developer so perhaps between me and other folk we could:

1) Change the logo
2) Frig the software so that the CD-Changer remembers where the CD was playing at last when power resumes!

That is a pain, the CD not remembering when the car is turned off.

At last - got round to buring the latest 9.8 ISO image onto a CD-RW.

The tool used (seemingly anyway!) to create (at least the installation of) Connect Nav 9.8 is something called VXWORKS.

Ooooh - and looking in one of the files turns out these boys http://www.ciaolab.com/default.asp?SUB=CUSTOMER&ISUB=3 made Connect Nav - maybe I'll pop them an email tomorrow - go direct to the maker rather complaining to Fiat!!!

I would love to see the reset problem resolved. It's the one thing that really bugs me about my Stilo. There are lots of other things I'd love to tweak as well.

Hi, yes need the vxworks platform for automotive devices.. my cpu is sh 7750 made by hitachi semiconductor.. and for that architecture i need tornado for automotive platform. like the bigsur processor.. thanks..

I have been talking to a person about this on another forum, and has asked me to provide the last patch issued by fiat. i presume this is version 9.9?

I have 9.8 on mine (provided by this forum), which i successfully installed on my connect+. Unfortunately i no longer have the downloaded program, and was wondering if anybody had it to send to me, or provide a link to it for me so i can forward it on.

This person will then tell me if it is possible, rewrite it for me, or provide already existing software which is compatible.

hi recently my connect nav has started to play up it voice commands/language selection peoblem it says so the sat nav doesnt talk anymore says install the set up disc which i do not haveto cure this without going back to fiat.would up grading the firmware cure this??

Yes you can reinstall the firmware which should fix it.

Has anyone got the 9.9? I've rang a couple of dealerships and one didn't have a clue what I was talking about and the other could only provide 9.8

9.8 came already installed on mine.

you should be able to get it from the link that larzmaster gave on the previous page and burn it to cd.

but the setup disc (languages etc.) is a different disc. should be available for a couple of bucks through every fiat dealer.
