Hi, this weekend I have attempted to replace my Stilo's Connect Nav (Not the plus model) with an aftermarket headunit.
I removed the connect nav, and hoped I'd be able to slide the headunit cage into the cage of the connect nav, not so...it wasn't wide enough, so I removed the connect nav cage and attached the headunit cage to the fascia adaptor but it wouldn't hold in place as it was depending on the fascia being that snug a fit it could support the weight of the headunit.
So, back in goes the connect nav cage and the headunit is now fitted. The problem though is that there is nothing holding the headunit in place, and it's off centre in the cutout of the fascia adaptor as the cage for the connect nav is offset to the right.
Has anybody else experienced this problem and knows how to:
1. Centre the headunit in the connect nav cage.
2. Secure the head unit into the connect nav cage.
Thanks in advance
Dave
Oh, and for some strange reason my stilo's wiring already had a switched live, so where I saved some trouble there, I've gained with other problems!
