:bang: Hi newby hear. iv'e got a 1.6 stilo o2plate . about a month ago it started runing like a bag of nails so i had a scan done on it & was told that the coils had packed in & all the injecters were stuck open. so i replaced them all & had comp thingy re set. 2weeks later its chuging again had a re scan & its come up injecters open again? code po201 to po204. some one told me it might be the main comp thingy? is this pos as i now have my brains in this heap. cheers for any help kuw.

Are you saying someone replaced ALL the coils and ALL the injectors because you're getting P0201 P0202 P0203 and P0204?
All the coils don't just "pack in". They're independent and break independently too
What's the full story? Was this a Fiat garage?

It sounds like a good customer ie pants down already but let's wait for the full story. Is this a warranty job?

I put a "How to" do some basic checks on injectors walk through in the Stilo Guides.

Here's my code explanations-
P0201 Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder #1
P0202 Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder #2
P0203 Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder #3
P0204 Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder #4
NB nothing about "stuck open" or needing changing just a malfunction on the electrics side and you can check a lot of that through with a simple multimeter using the Guide

i bought a code reader 2 save some money & it says in the book circuit open? im new 2 comps & all its jargon but i was once a mechanic for 25 years befor all this comp stuff so im learning all the time. no it was't a fiat garage but a well known auto electrision in town. that said coils gone & injecters open. just got new ones & fitted them my self. with comp runing the cars now i just replaced them.(silly me). clueless is my middle name.

i forgot 2 mention I packed the car game in 15 years ago.

Well you're never too old to catch up. :)

Circuit open = no circuit ie a break in electrical connection.

Grab yourself a £5 multi meter and you could do a lot worse than read through the forum previous posts and Guides:)

ok guys you know where to post the bribe to :)

I too had a similar problem. What happens is the coil packs in and leaves the injectors open allowing fuel to through all the time. Car starts to run almost diesel like but with zero performance. Cat then glows red/white hot and on the verge of exploding. Injectors are ok, it's just the coils. My 02 Stilo had magnelli's I think. Was told by garage to expect it to happen as once one goes the rest start to follow. True to form it did, but never had to go to garage for 2nd and 3rd time. Replaced last 2 on third time. coils cost about £40 each.
