Re: Main Beam Headlights both out at the same time
Hi Guys,
Stilo's throwing some more problems at me :bang: this time the electronics.
I dunno if this has been posted before, but I cant find any post relating to this subject.
I was travelling back through some country lanes of Essex today (and you know how dark they can get after 5pm) and I start to notice that when I dont have any cars in front or behind me for a while and no oncoming cars, it is virtually impossible to see the road, cats eyes, white lining and kerb. However, when I just about see enough through the dark I pull over into a lay-by to investigate, and find that my dipped beams, side lights and fog lamps are working, but mains fail to switch on at any attempt when I test all light settings in the car including turning up the light-power to 3 (max) as it says on the dashboard. Now, I have replaced the drivers side bulb only 2 months ago and due to driving mostly during the day and keeping mainly to city streets I disagree that the drivers side bulb needs replacing again so soon and I havent noticed the problem till now.
Anyhow, I will now cut to the chase, what could it possibly be thats causing the main beams not to work, and with my limited knowledge in mind, how would I go about rectifying it without booking it in again at Fiat so soon.
Your help would be greatly appreciated as usual, and Im learning alot of things about this car given my luck with it so far
