Reason i ask is that i am Still getting the Beep, Beep, Beep & engine failure error & it sems to happen on light throttle up hill 3rd & 4th Etc whilst loading the engine !! Especially if it is quite cold outside also 2 to 3 deg !!
It does not always do it though, & if it were down to leaks Etc, I would expect it to do it all the time , As a split is a split Etc & generally does not change.
Are these symptons in any way connected with the Update ??

I have relocated the Overboost, Dried it out & checked all hoses, Replaced a couple of jubilee clips on boost/intercooler hoses that were not super tight.

The car has an Angel Tuning remap. I think i am going to have to Bite the Bullet & get the fault coeds read

Any ideas before i pull out what little hair i have left !!
Cheers

If you need that done its a software update for the ecu and throttle body ..bozzy had that done and fiat accidently deleted his performance map ..so beware

Thanks.

What are the symptons of this ???

Dean, I'd get the error codes read. If it's an overboost valve error then fit a new valve. I don't think the valve always recovers from a soaking :(

At the same time you'd best pray you haven't wreaked the actuator with that pressure line you used

Hi.
Thats what im thinking on the overboost valve front, Almost 5 years down by the undertray getting wetter & wetter. After i had dried it out & relocated it, It did not do it, Where as before everytime in you loaded the engine in 3rd & 4th Etc it did it.

Im thinking if the Actuator had been damaged it would of done it straight away after the relocation, When you get somebody to stop & start the car so you can watch, The actuator does move in & out !!!

P0235 Error

Hi.

Well just had the Error codes read !! P0235 & Overboost

Does this relate to the OverBoost Valve with which i have had issues ???

Re: P0235 Error

your symptoms are exactly the same as mine!

But... I am 99% sure that I need a new overboost valve. Mine has not been moved yet either!

How much for a new OB valve?

(PS - when I use ePER I can't see "Multiwagon" I see "van" but the images are not of a MW)

I gave up on ePER,
I have seen prices quoted from £55 to £120, I will find out tomorrow & let you know.
Fingers crossed it sorts it & i can get one before Crimble !!!

i had very similar issues and after replacing the overboost valve it was still there. it was actually a split pipe around the throttle body area i think and the leak was causing the turbo to work harder and then flagging up overboost.

dean, has the turbo ever gone on the motorway and you only get it back if you take it out of gear and put it back in?

That exactly what I have to do - out of gear then back in gear and my turbo returns.

Only ever with the 3 Beeps & warning, I think it is the pause (Change Gear or Back off Etc) That allows the boost to fall below the Error/warning threshold & your off again Etc.

Assuming i am being supplied the correct part from my local Fiat Garage !!! They are charging me £36.50 + Vat for the overboost valve !!

I have also checked every where for leaks but not been able to find any !!

Although in the past i did have a Boost leak on my Subaru & the only way i managed to find it was by pressurising the System with a Compressor & listening :)

Fingers crossed the Overboost valve will cure it

lol a new engine, turbo, and ecu cured mine :D

Was that the quick Fix then ?? :D

The car's power delivery is definately inconsistent, Most of the time now, It's quite flat & takes alot more Revs to get it going (as if very little Boost/Turbo)
Then after geting the car hot & leaving it for a little while, You get in it & it's a pocket rocket again

Now when it's a pocket rocket no Check engine & Beep beep Etc.
When it's flat & you have less power that seems to be when you get the Error ..!!

The new overboost valve is allegedly arriving Monday, But im not sure it will cure my Woes !! As it appears to be a Vacum pump, If you only turn your ignition on you hear it humming & see the Actuator push out as if it is working Ok !!
