Hi

I bought a Stilo 1.9 Dynamic for my wife a few months back and have had a couple of glitches with it.
Glitch No.1 - The odometer reaches 79662 miles then jumps back to 79233. I wasn't sure how long it's been doing this but last MOT (before i bought it) showed 79062 and previous was 67554 so it's not long.
Has anyone else had this and more importantly can it be fixed.

Glitch No. 2 - The large cover for the battery and the terminals to its left is missing. Are these easy to get hold of?

Glitch No. 3 - the panoramic sunroof doesn't open . I've tried the initialisation thing but it seems to be jumping out of the motor cog/gear.
Anyone else suffering with this one?

Otherwise the car is great. Heaps of torque and fun to drive.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks

I can see that you have no responses to the Skyroof issue. Chris is spot on with the rest.

Now for the roof.

Pull down the control panel for the skyroof (it should just come away with a bit of teasing). There should be an alan key type crank handle located in the control housing. If there isn't then don't dispair, mine didn't have one either.

Insert the crank or your own alan key into the mechanism located under the panel you just removed and see if you can budge the roof. It will be quite stiff to move by hand, but you should see some movement. Dont' force anything beyond what you believe to be reasonable.

If the roof opens, then I would clean all the runners and channels and lubricate the whole mechanism using a teflon spray or equivalent.

I hope this works for you as the roof is a really beautiful thing to have during those summer months.

Good luck mate.

Lobster, when you say pull down, how exactly is the panel fixed, i need to change the front interior light and have to drop that panel to acces the screws.
I've had a look but wasn't sure how it came away from the roof?

advise??

If you pull it from the control end and give a little wiggle whilst doing it, it should just pop off. There are only retaining clips that have a spring insert, so with care, you shouldn't damage anything. Then you can pull it forward and the whole thing drops down in your hands.

Hi, i had the same problem with the mileage jumping back. This is easily cured by a replacement chip on the back of the clocks, simple fix but a fiat dealer fix. the battery cover is a problem big time. Replace it as soon as you can as stilo's can catch fire from water ingress shorting the electrics out. I have seen the result of this at my local dealership

I've only ever seen one car without the battery cover and that was a new JTD at a dealers ..I comented that it should have one ..and was surprised when the answer came back "Should it"
