Been quoted £160 for this, seems a bit cheap to me, is this not a major service? Also what pressures should I run 215x45x17 tyres on?

Thanks in advance Phil

What model do you have? I've been quoted £193 for the 24k on my 1.6 Active with aircon.

Will check the pressures when I get home as haven't got my manual handy.

I recently paid £160 for my 24,000 mile service on my 1.6 dynamic with Air Con so that seems ok to me.
The manual says 33ps1 for that size tyre which I also have

Hope this helps

On a side note they found an anti roll bar track rod (I think thats what they said) needed replaced and they told me it aint even covered under warrenty!
Bit peed with that, so just told them only having a car 10 months and to be told stuff aint under warrenty, aint exactly right is it

I wish, blimey down sarf I've been quoted between £230-275 for a 24k service on a 1.6 dynamic with AC.

I'm having it done at an Independent Alfa dealers instead - top tuners and racers by all accounts and they wanted £185.

Thanks for reply guys, Its a 1.6 Dynamic(the faster blue colour) with air con. Its through Reg Vardy(not ideal but still better than Arnold) Should be 0„5180 but get 0„520 off for being a loyal customer !!!!!.(yes stupidly bought 2 cars from them). Its in on Tuesday so will let you know about final bill although they were true to their word with 12000 mile which came in at 0„598.

thanks again Phil.

Just read my post back, should read 180 pounds sterling and 20 pounds sterling respectively before you all have heart attacks. Obviously found the egyptian font button on my computer by mistake!

Been quoted nearly £300 for a 24k service on my 1.8 dynamic aircon[:0][:0]

Dealer told me that I get a service reminder every 12 months in which I have 2 weeks either side to service the car, if I don't service it between this time it invalids the warrenty apparently, can anyone confirm this?????

£300 I thought was a bit steep and again if I have it serviced else where it'll invalid the warrenty [:0][:0]

You have 30 days/1000 miles either way of the specified service internal to get a service completed before you run into potential warranty difficulties.

You can also have it serviced elsewhere provided they are VAT registered and use genuine Fiat parts or better/equivalent. I've had mine serviced by an independent Alfa specialist and have a warranty claim outstanding no problems.

Shop around, there is a big difference in prices even between Fiat dealers.

uncle arnold had to take it on the chin with us, They never told us it had to be serviced on the month of its registration date, so we where going to go upto the 24k and do it then, which was this month anyway.
Car was registered in March. Since we only got the car in August was a little bit mythed over the servicing policy and also was told 12 months or 12k miles at the time of buying as well, So Arnolds fault and they excepted it

I've just had the 24000 service, although the car has only done 19500. Basically it's two years old in 25 days.

When I took it in I complained of the following:

Rear passenger tyre is worn through on one edge. Other edge and the other rear tyre looks like it has years of life left. You can stick most of your finger nail into the tread that's left.
Check tracking on front, as I had to buy 2 new fronts a few months ago.
Check passenger door look. It sometimes jams (long standing fault).

I actually got a nail on the dodgy tire the day before the service. Probably becuase it was so bald. I didn't get it repaired, just left it in case kwik-fit or whoever refuse to repair it and keep it.

So car needs two new tyres.

Total cost of Service: £342

I was told the rear tyre was worn becuase the tracking was out, and that they have adjusted it. I just don't buy it. They have also written on the service report the recorded depths of the tyre treads as 2mm for both tyres. That's complete BS. The bald edge was just near the markers. The good edge, and other tyre was at least 5 or 6mm. I wish I'd taken some pictures. I think there covering their ass. Service was by Parks in East Kilbride, where the customer is always to be treated with contempt and suspicion.

Stilo '02, 3dr 1.8 Dynamic.

Todays fault: Recurring ASR / ESP Failure warnings.

My car's just had the 24000 mile service, even though its covered 18,500.

The total cost was £194.73!! (More than I was quoted).

They also said they couldnt roadtest it to see where the vibration was coming from as "the tyres are illegal" (insides are bald), so I've just had them replaced and it will go back to FIAT on Monday.

I put Goodyear Eagle NCT5's on the front (195/65/15 H), £99.98 for 2 inc. balancing and valves. Not bad I thought.
