Hi

Can anyone tell me how many Lamdba Sensors/Probes my 2002 Fiat Stilo 1.2 Active should have?

I only ask because my car is in the garage once again this week with an 'engine fault' & they are telling me my lambda probe needs replacing! A different garage replaced my lambda sensor last week so you'll hopefully see my problem & understand my lack of trust.

They are telling me it has 2 probes - is this correct?

I know it's probably a stupid question but humour me!

Thanks
Lorna

Welcome to the forum

AFAIK there are 2 lambda sensors - one before and another one after the catalytic converter.

Thanks Chaos!

Having spent £200 at a garage in the last 3 weeks on 3 different occasions only for the flippin' engine fault warning light to keep coming on a day after I pick it up I am reluctant (to say the least!) to pay more for another garage to replace the same part that was replaced last week.

I'll feel less of a girlie now when I go to pick it up & will try to contain my stroppyness which I could feel coming to the surface when he told me it needed replacing & I questioned it.

Wish I knew more about cars...but then I bet I cook a better Lasagne than any Fiat tech (apart from maybe the ones in Italy!!!).:chin:
