hi there,

my JTD 115hp,make this annoying noise in engine bay or exaust,when accelarating and when i release the gas pedal,its kind of a rattle with a whistle(kind of some parts are not tight,brackets,nuts).
in the dealer they say its normal [xx(]in the diesel engine[?]
this happens with lows revs!

mine's a diesel and it doesnt make a rattley noise!

all diesels rattle...
The problem could be moisture collecting the exhaust pipe, this is normal as hot gasses on cold metal = moisture, it drains away through a hole in the exhaust but if the car is on slight slope it will make a rasping sound as though your exhaust is blowing, I had this problem on my 1.2 and the dealer said its normal and to try starting it on a level surface and it was quiet..
BTW is the JTD a turbo diesel?? That could explain the whistle!!
