Hi im trying to fit my Facia Adaptor but im struggling to get the metal cage that the standard headunit went into out can sumbody pleeeeease point me in the righ direction.

Cheers thats helpful i will try it again i have the double din facia and it just didnt look like it was going to fit but it was dark at the time.

ok i done this literaly a few hours ago to my stilo. you get the blaukpunt double din fascia with the four screws?
rite i found it pretty much impossible to get the old cage out just cause of the plastic thing at the bottom. there is a simpler way, lol
rite its the four lugs that are the problem, the bottom two, straighten them and point them toward the gear stick, the top two is a wee bit different, straighten them and then bend them back above the cage, then you just keep the cage there and screw the fascia infront of it, the fascia sits out an extra 1mm but i didn have another cage to hold my double din stereo so i needed to keep it there, hope this helps

I did this on Sat sorry i didnt see your post but i used a Bread Knife to cut the Hooking Plastic off then cage slips right out . This gives me bags of room for wires and other crap that i have sitting behind the HeadUnit

just out of interest, are you using the single din pocket and tht sponge bit and then a single din head unit on top of that?
i spent about half an hour trying to remove the cage but couldnt get it out then i figured that there was no cage for my double din head unit so thats why i kept it
it looks very atractive for thieves tho they will have a bit of a struggle getting it out as ive put mounts on the otherside of the cage, took me ages 2 get it in, lol
