I thought I'd reply just because my name is so similar to yours! [8D]

I get similar problems if a passenger moves the front passenger seat all the way to the back. I can't remember the error messages but one refers to CANBus, and another to wiring. I have to tell the passenger to move the seat forward 1 notch, and they just look at me confused.

That is of course if the car likes the look of the passenger, and actually unlocks the passenger door for them. B)

Todays fault: Recurring ASR / ESP Failure warnings.

The car is in the shop they say it could be the brake pedal switch givin a false signal, I dont know how that can be related to the security systema and the car not starting up, also if you are driving in normal situations suddenly the security sistem gives a failure alarm and the light of the security code lights up, if you turn off the car and then back on it might not start.

i had the same fault with a customers car,the vehicle was a 2003 1.9jtd the vehicle would start from cold but when reached running temp. if the customer switched engine off then tried to start again it would turn over but not fire.
no faults found running a diagnostic scan.
fiat had no idea but it ended up being crankshaft posistion sensor.
hope this helps.
