i know this isnt specifically the place to post this, but i want some web space (dont mind paying if its cheap)to put the licl website ive created up to and get it a domain name (i.e. stilo.co.uk or summat) anyone know any good uns? preferably with frontpage extension support!

F2s are expensive IMO. I use www.freeparking.co.uk for my domain (pharrison.co.uk) Very cheap for POP3 emailing and then for free (allbeit limited) web hosting, I use www.netfirms.com which does ok for my A level revision site though I would much prefer the upgraded account (excellent value, £3 a month I think, 250MB, FP extensions (on the free account also!)no ads (banner on free versioN etc. etc.) but you pay it yearly. Freeparking allow you you to simply forward to your webspace so you get the best of both worlds. Domain from freeparking including POP3 email account (x 5 i think) is £10 for 2 years.

Sorryif the above is confusing, i am tired, if you want more info on what i use, just ask - i looked into it with FP extensions recently.

I think you will find that F2s have charged for their webhosting service for about 2-3 years now. i used them when they were free, no ads, FP extensions, excellent service etc. but couldn't afford the change over.

It's about £24.99 for their cheapest service/year UNLESS you can show me where you can get this for free? My mum would like to know also because her website is F2s hosted and she pays a lot more than free for it!

F2S only offer 'free' webhosting to people using them as an ISP. I have F2S broadband and get 50Mb of webspace free which i havent used to host my website cos they dont offer the features i need..I have my website hosted by ICDSoft it cost me $75 (us) which is roughly £35 for a years hosting and 1 year domain registration not too good i know but i had certain requirements such as databases that they met better.(Only problem is because they are U.S based you cant register .UK domains only .COM .NET .ORG etc..)
