General headlight how to adjust

Yeah the buttons to the right of the steering wheel is the easiest option, think if the car is empty it should be set to 0 (thats what I have it on) and as the car gets heavier you have to change it in stages up to 3 i think!

Speaking of adjustment, my old smart roadster used to have a switch on the back of the headling to alter the beam for driving on the continent? do you have to get thise stick on things or can it be done this way?

No way to alter the beam except the screws hidden indside the bumper, or with the buttons to the left of the steering wheel (depends on left/right steering wheel ofcourse... :))

Why should the beam be adjusted to drive on the continent?

As our headlights are angled to the left, when you go to the continent and drive on the right our headlights would be angled into the oncoming traffic, as such we have to adjust them or put those sticker things onto our headlamps!

Aha! Didn't think of that. Headlamps differ in beam length/width according to road side ofcourse. But I didn't think they would differ in height. So the sticker works kind of like a mask then?

Now it ought to be asked as to why you need to alter your headlight aim so much. Have you changed a bulb and not inserted it correctly (pretty common mistake) or have you changed a headlight unit? Your headlight shouldn't be so far out as to dazzle oncoming traffic and no amount of playing with the beam height adjuster will counteract that amount of misalignment.

Check your bulb is inserted correctly:)
