I've done a quick search for I couldn't find the specific thread I was looking for, so I'll ask again. Sorry for the repost, but I'm a busy man these days, and more time spent trawling through search results = less time in and working on car! I'm planning on putting my sub and amp back in the car (Pirates of the Caribean soundtrack was meant to have lots of bass :D ) and I've found where I want to route the audio and signal cables, and where I'm going to ground it (one of the big meaty bolts that the rear seats are attached to, as I did in my old punto). My question is, is there anywahere within the cabin itself I can take a live feed from. I've had a shufty at the bulkhead, and even using the guides can't find where to route it. I've read befoire (on the thread I was looking for) that someone took a live feed off the fusebox by the steering wheel. Is this a possibility without knacking something important, or worse, starting a fire?

Taking a live feed from anywhere other than the battery (for this sort of power) is ill advised. The grommit is there, more of a feel than a see but that's how many of us did it. I have seen another thread somewhere (think its in guides) that shows how to access the bulkhead from inside the cabin. Rich/rroope probably?

It's also on the cruise control guide.

Taking power from inside the car for a sub/amp is a big no-no - just no.

Fused line from the batttery, bypasses original electrics and keeps everything happy. Also ensure your earth is decent.
