omg, i just got a new ignition coil fitted only two weeks ago and now i need another 1? i have a 53 plate 1.6 stilo. any1 else with same probs?

Very , very common problem especially on 1.6, unfortunately.

I have replaced all 4 of mine now, after they have each failed after various mileages.

Bad design / manufacture / validation of the original part made by Sagem. They will all fail, but fitting is only about 12 minutes from bonnet up to bonnet down, inc finding which coil is faulty (there is one coil per cylinder)

Hi,
Just letting you know its FACT once one goes they all go, i paid my garage £100 to replace my fist one. Then the second one went i replaced the lot, as easy as changing a spark plug belive.

You paid a oner to have a coil changed :bang: half an hours work at the out side makes me cringe :(

Not everyone has the knowledge, time, inclination or ability to work on their cars.

But thats why places like this exist so we can point them in the right direction and save them some money on the way :slayer: [I liked the money bit ..better in my pocket ] Mwhahahaha:devil:

The wife was using it and stuck in Manchester, after the first one went i learned on HERE....:worship:
