Magic! Thought I was up the creek when it started to go off, just after I'd bought it too. 1o mins and it was all sorted. Cheers!

Re: Airbag Failure Warnings

This is one heck of a guide.

Cost: 3.98
Time spent: 15 mins (I had to do both connectors)
Saving: 80+ and fuel to get to Fiat!

Nice one son

Re: Airbag Failure Warnings

Thanks
Just as an update, I haven't had an air bag warning now since doing the job and that was 4 months ago so it's pretty permanent and let's face it, it's easy enough to do again if it does return.
Thanks Frantic fiat fanatic thanked for this post

Re: Airbag Failure Warnings

Can't thank you enough for this information.

We have had no end of trouble with this fault since we got the car. The garage tried to cure it several times while it was under warrenty, but their cure didn't last long. Better give them your instructions!

Thanks again its great getting in the car and not hearing the bleep from the dashboard and seeing the warning light any more.

Decks, top guide...
Being an electronics person, the seemingly obvious answer to me is to remove the pins from the connectors and drop some solder into where the wire is crimped. Would that be a good idea?

Thanks,
-Alex

Re: Airbag Failure Warnings

Hi Alex
I know you're light years away from any dealers and you have to do some white water rafting to get to one but if a tech has to work on the airbag circuit later on sometime and they see that it's been noticably altered/ tampered with then understandably they might not touch it.

You know the phrase
"Oh yes, and who's been playing about here then?"

Re: Airbag Failure Warnings

hi, just recently joined this forum whilst looking for a solution to this problem. i was actually going to take it straight to the garage as i only bought my stilo 3 weeks ago and the damn beeping has been driving me crazy since 2 days after i purchased it.
i saw this post and though y not, imight aswell give it a go (and by give it a go i mean pester my dad until he did it for me) and lowe and behold, it worked!
i seriously did not expect it to fix the problem but it worked first time. hope i never have to do it again, but if i do ive got this brilliant solution to once again take to my dad

thanx
