Hi All

This weeks problem is the most serious yet. I was out yesterday morning washing the car and when i finished i got in to move it and it took alot of turning over before the car started, then it juddered and the warning engine control system failure appeared on the panel and flashes and beeps constantly.

I have the car booked in with fiat on Thursday for the suspension recall, any ideas on what direction to point them in?

The service manager pointed out to me it could be any number of things?

Should i even drive the car to fiat?

yeah take it in for diag, probably some thing simple like coil pack

Checking for a broken coil is relatively simple, and they are really easy to replace.

Any correlation with washing the car (Stilos don't like water). You didn't squirt the hose in a silly place did you?

After all the panicing i do all weekend yous lads bring it all to an end with just a simple few words!

Did you wash inside the passenger wheel arch? Did you wash the engine bay?

There is a connector up in the battery box which is prone to failure when it gets damp, I personally think it's this.

I did wash insode the wheel arch!

Is this the D4 connector your talking about?
