Stilo Fitting new dials in cluster

Thanks for that. Was looking for this info. One thing tho - I drive a 55reg is all the clusters the same. heard somewhere that it could be sealed:

You can access all the clusters very easily. The dial cover is only held together by plastic clips. Just make sure you order the right ones off the birba site for your car. I don't know the whole english system of 55reg etc but I'm guessing its an 05? This was done on an 05 too. Its a great mod really makes a big difference but you prob won't be going for the kms? There are a few other companies you can get dials off of I think.. OR you could order the new ones from Fiat as I think all new ones come with white dials as standard. It will be same proceedure.

Good job, BUT they are in KMH not MPH. Im sure thats an MOT failure as you can't tell the speed.

Seeing as I'm Irish its perfect! main reason for change was actually to see the kmh much clearer. This guide applies to the lockeed dials too ..or any dials for the stilo.

Ive just emailed the guys at Birba to see if they can make a white dial kit for us in MPH... This is what they have said:

We have not available The Stilo dial in mph.
We produce 2 series of dial, the regular as at this link :

Anyway We can also realize in Mph, but for the regular series We need order
of at least 30 pieces to produce, for the BLS series.

Don't know if anybody is interested but i found some MPH dials at lockwoodinternational.co.uk for £15 + p&p. I also found an aluminimum facia on eBay from emacandco for £24.75 + p&p although they do accept reasonable offers like the £20.25 I offered so maybe you should be a little more cheeky than me and try for less!!!

Will be changing my dials when the new ones arrive, but whilst I was searching on the net for the MPH ones I found a German website, wundschtacho.de that were selling kits. These kits included replacement led bulbs for the speedo display, 14 needed in all. As the defacto speedo expert any thoughts on how to do this exchange and would there be a problem with the blown bulb warning system due to the low power draw by leds?

I deffo want to do this.....specially with a medium difficulty rating, I fancy blue neon bulbs in dash is this possible?

I removed everything as said in the guide, but I still can't pop my cluster out? All the 4 bolts are removed...

Great guide, helped alot.

However, the part about being carefull when removing the needles.

You now need to remove the needles. Take your time with this and be careful because if you pull out the metal pin when taking off the needles you're pretty much screwed!

A few people have said to use a fork or a spoon or knife to prise the needles off at each corner around in 360degrees. I tried this and I was getting nowhere so i pulled up gently and twisted anti-clockwise and they come off after a few rotations. Much easier this way. You really do have to be careful with this though.

My advice.

Don't buy replacement dials untill your sure you can remove the needles without pulling out the metal pins.

1. Remove the cluster.
2. Make sure you can remove all the needles leaving the metal pins in place. If you can, refit the needles.
3. Refit cluster.
4. Purchase replacement dials.
5. Then follow this guide.

Dont make my mistake and trash your cluster.

I had to replace the cluster as I pulled a metal pin out. Here's a few photo's of how I fixed mine.
